Giving Back to the Community

We believe that part of our responsibility is help the community  in Suffolk and Tidewater where we live and work to become a better place.

Below you will see the logos and icons for our many efforts and projects to contribute to worthy causes. We do this because we believe it is the right thing to do.

We hope that our decision to make a difference in our community can inspire others to do the same because together there is virtually nothing we can’t accomplish.

Transforming Lives and Enriching Smiles

About 2 years ago, I decided to create Transforming Lives and Enriching Smiles as not only a personal mission but also the Official Mission of our practice. Ultimately I would like to make this a Foundation through which my practice would donate to all of the other organizations we help throughout the year. Maybe you could help me along with how to go about this. Below is an excerpt we use on the website and in the Smile Guide.

Dr. Taylor prides himself on being a pillar of the local community. Their Transforming Smiles and Enriching Lives Mission has donated over $50,000 to various local organizations and families including the Suffolk Public Schools, Salvation Army, Bennett’s Creek Little League, YMCA, Oasis Ministry, Young Life, Suffolk Humane Society, Children’s Hospital of the Kings Daughters (CHKD), For Kids: Helping Homeless, Z104 FM “Stuff the Bus”, Bon Secours, Birthday Brigade Foster Program, and Bunticonti Fund for Spinal Research. In 2015, we created our "Smile For Christmas Essay Contest" for adolescents age 12-18 who would not otherwise be able to have orthodontic treatment due to financial restrictions. Thus far, we have provided 8 families no cost orthodontic care. If you know of anyone who may benefit from a Smile for Christmas, or a charity in need, please let us know!

When I first came to Smile Suffolk Braces, I was 11 years old, and my smile had a lot of work to do. By the time I was done being treated, my smile was exactly how I wanted it to look. With my new, big smile, I gained a lot of confidence in myself. Overall, my time at Smile Suffolk Braces was life-changing and very enjoyable.Kendall S.
